Pasadena Church To Host Town Hall With Congresswoman Chu

Rep. Judy Chu will address constituent concerns at June 28 forum on federal legislation

First United Methodist Church Pasadena is inviting the community to a special town hall meeting with Rep. Judy Chu on June 28 to address constituent questions and concerns about federal legislation.

The forum will run from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the church’s Fellowship Hall.

Chu, a Democrat, represents California’s 28th Congressional District, which includes Pasadena and the west San Gabriel Valley.

In Congress, Chu serves on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over taxes, revenues, Social Security and Medicare. She also sits on the committee’s Health, Worker, and Family Support, and Oversight subcommittees, as well as the House Budget Committee.

The Congresswoman is open to responding to questions and concerns from attendees, according to the church announcement.

The town hall is open to the public.

First United Methodist Church of Pasadena is located at 500 E. Colorado Blvd. in downtown Pasadena.
