
State Senator Anthony Portantino is hosting a Saturday kickoff event for his campaign to represent California’s 30th Congressional District in the U.S. Congress. State Attorney General Rob Bonta is scheduled to be a guest speaker.
Portantino, who represented Pasadena in the California Senate, is being termed out after serving since 2016.
The kickoff event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 13 The event will take place at 1752 Riverside Drive in Glendale’s Historic Rancho Neighborhood.
Portantino is running for the U.S. Congress to represent California’s 30th Congressional District.
A long-time area resident, Portantino, said Saturday’s campaign kickoff event would serve as the starting point for a vigorous push toward the upcoming primary.
“This campaign is about bringing the voice of our community to Washington,” Portantino said in a personal email to supporters. “I moved into the district in 1988, I’ve raised my family here, and it’s been an honor to represent our community as an elected leader in Sacramento. With your help, I know we can take that same spirit and energy to Washington.”
The festivities will include food, music, and guest speakers, among them California Attorney General Rob Bonta, and several other influential community leaders.
The event is open to the public, offering an opportunity for attendees to engage with Portantino and learn more about his vision for the district.
