
Brandon Lamar
Pasadena City Council District 3 candidate Brandon Lamar has been endorsed by the Los Angeles Federation of Labor and SEIU Local 121 RN, his campaign announced.
The Los Angeles Federation of Labor represents over 800,000 labor and union members and champions the rights of workers across the region.
“Brandon Lamar is a proven champion for the working men and women of Pasadena and throughout Los Angeles County,” Yvonne Wheeler, President of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, said in a statement. “We are proud to support his candidacy and know that he will continue to fight for good union jobs with benefits and safe working conditions.”
“The Los Angeles Federation of Labor is a crucial organization empowering workers and backing progressive leaders like me, ensuring the protection of their rights,” Lamar said in response to the endorsement. “I will always support unions in their fight for jobs where all workers are valued and respected, so our communities can thrive!”
He also highlighted the advocacy of SEIU (Service Employees International Union) 121RN, a prominent voice advocating for patient and nurse and healthcare professional safety in California.
Monique Hernandez, SEIU 121RN Executive Board Vice President, and Jacinta Lincke, SEIU 121RN COPE Committee Member and Pasadena Resident, released a statement jointly endorsing Lamar’s candidacy.
“We support Brandon Lamar for Pasadena City Council District 3 because he understands the power of community,” Hernandez and Lincke said in their statement. “With his proven track record of championing workers’ rights, Brandon embodies our commitment to a more unified and compassionate society. Brandon is the leader we need to ensure our voices are heard.”
Lamar said he is thankful to both organizations for their trust and support.
