Get Out The Grill, Prep the Pool: This Week, Summer’s Back

National Weather Service forecasters say to get ready for a week of warm. Monday should hit 81 degrees in Pasadena under clear blue skies, and the rest of the week is expected to pretty much be a cookie-cutter copy.

High pressure aloft building in from the west will bring a warming trend which is expected to gradually cool somewhat during the week, falling to a high of “just” 71 by next Saturday.

In between, the weekdays will above clear and above-average temps will prevail.

February is usually Pasadena’s wettest month of the year but this year hasn’t seen much rain and by contrast, this week will pass with warm, dry, clear-sky days.

Today: Sunny, with a high near 76. East northeast wind around 5 mph becoming west southwest in the morning.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 50. Light and variable wind becoming east 5 to 10 mph after midnight.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 81. East northeast wind around 5 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52. North wind around 5 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 77. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 50.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 76.

Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 49.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 76.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 48.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 76.

Friday Night: Clear, with a low around 47.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 73.
