A parolee accused of killing a girl outside of an illegal nightclub in 2007 returned to court earlier this morning for a pretrial hearing, only to have it re-scheduled. He is due back to Pasadena Superior Court on July 14.
Johnl Dvon Reynolds is charged with one count of murder, one count of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon for allegedly shooting and killing Ebony Huel outside of an illegal teen nightclub on Aug. 17, 2007. Her death was part of a string of 11 gang-related deaths during the summer of 2007.
According to previous reports, Reynolds was allegedly aiming a gun at a rival gang member before shooting Huel. At the time of the shooting, Reynolds was on parole for about three weeks from a previous prison term.
The shooting occurred at The Underground, an illegal nightclub on Lincoln Avenue.
