The mercury is dropping for a cooler weekend — cooler, maybe, but not actually cool. Expect temps in the mid 90’s.
An unexpected surge of southerly flow brought significant cooling to Pasadena on Saturday, pushing temperatures down by about 5 degrees.
But the heat wave kicked off warnings from the professionals at the National Weather Service: a Heat Advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Sunday when an Excessive Heat Watch, from Sunday evening through Monday evening, takes effect.
Next week every day will top out in the lower 90’s, according to the NWS.
