Lightning hit an electrical transformer on Fletcher Avenue, South Pasadena Friday at about 2:45 a.m., causing a power outage to hundreds of homes in the area.

The incident affected 355 Southern California Edison customers, which the majority now have their electricity back, SCE spokesman Susan Cox told the Pasadena Star-News.

The 46 remaining customers with power outage were expected to have their power back by early Friday evening, she added.

No one was reported injured, South Pasadena police officer Randy Wise told the newspaper.
