Pasadena Public Libraries to Close for Thanksgiving, Virtual Services Remain Available

The Pasadena Public Library system will close early at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, and will remain closed through Friday, November 24. Regular library hours will resume on Saturday, November 25.

Despite the physical closure, virtual services will continue to be available 24/7. Library patrons can access eBooks, audiobooks, and music for free through services such as CloudLibrary and Hoopla.

The Pasadena Public Library, founded in 1882, has a rich history. The library system includes nine branch locations, each with its own operating hours. The Central Library is currently closed indefinitely for earthquake retrofitting. Assistance is provided through various channels, including in-person, phone, and online support.
