The City of Pasadena will host its annual Veterans Day Celebration on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Pasadena City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave., beginning at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to celebrate, honor, and remember those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Organized by the City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, the heartfelt program will be led by former Pasadena Mayor William Paparian, who will serve as master of ceremonies. Paparian is a Captain (CA) Judge Advocate in the California State Guard.

Keynote remarks will be delivered by Associate Justice Eileen Moore, a decorated Vietnam War veteran and former Army Nurse Corps combat nurse. Moore’s military honors include the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm.

The celebration will feature a special flyover by the Condor Squadron at 11:11 a.m., complimentary hot dogs served by Pasadena Fire Fighters Local 809, and family-friendly exhibits presented by the Martin Severance Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

Informational booths will be hosted by the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, American Legion Posts 13 & 280, and the Rose Bowl Stadium.

The event coincides with the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, Navy and Marine Corps, underscoring the significance of honoring veterans from all branches, including Pasadena’s own Marines.
