A hearing is scheduled Thursday for Beverly Ann Baker, a Pasadena woman who allegedly was caught on surveillance video using a pickaxe to break the windows of a neighbor’s house in October 2022.

Baker is set to appear in Dept. D of the Pasadena Courthouse at 8:30 a.m.

A surveillance video shown widely by local media at the time captured a woman, later identified by police as Beverly Ann Baker, 65, walking up a driveway with a pickax and smashing a street-facing window of a home.

The woman inside the home screamed as Baker walked away, only to return shortly after and break several more windows.

As she left the scene, Baker is heard saying “Questions anyone? I’ll be back. Get out.”

Pasadena Police Cmdr. Bill Grisafe told KABC-TV Channel 7 that Baker had no connection with the homeowner.

Grisafe believes Baker may have been suffering from a mental health crisis.

The homeowner, Arman Tchoukadarian, told KABC his mother-in-law was in the home with his baby and grabbed the child seconds before the window next to his bassinet was smashed.

Baker is facing one count of felony vandalism, as reported by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
