Southern California transit agencies are expanding public transportation options for the 2025 Rose Parade, offering parade-goers convenient alternatives to driving and parking in Pasadena. The enhanced service will help Paradegoers avoid traffic congestion and parking challenges during the New Year’s Day celebration. Riders can access the Parade route through multiple transit connections, from Long Beach to Pasadena.
The Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority A Line (formerly Gold Line) will serve as the backbone of the transit plan, with six stops in the City of Roses.
Two stations – Del Mar and Memorial Park – provide direct access to the parade route. The Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority will operate 24-hour rail service on New Year’s Eve through Parade Day morning with increased frequency to handle parade crowds.
Angelenos can take Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority trains or buses to Los Angeles Union Station for seamless A Line connections to Pasadena.
Metro will also provide regular bus service to areas near the Rose Parade, Rose Bowl Game, and Post Parade areas, with routes originating from locations throughout the County.
Metrolink is strengthening its regional connectivity by adding early-morning trains on multiple routes.
The expanded service includes the Ventura County, Orange County, and 91/Perris Valley lines, while adjusting schedules on the Antelope Valley and San Bernardino lines. All trains will arrive at Union Station between 7 and 7:30 a.m., and Metrolink passengers can transfer free of charge to the Metro lines to connect to Pasadena.
To encourage ridership, Metrolink is offering a $10 Holiday Pass for unlimited daily travel. Holiday passes are available now through the Metrolink app or at station ticket machines. For return trips, Metrolink will operate additional afternoon trains, with complete schedule information available on the Metrolink website.
The A Line provides multiple access points for parade viewing.
The Del Mar Station is located just 0.3 miles south of the parade route, while Memorial Park Station sits 0.2 miles north.
Additional viewing access is available from Lake Station and Allen Station, both 0.4 miles north of the route.
