A man was wounded in a shooting along Summit Avenue in Pasadena on Tuesday morning, police said.
The shooting took place just after 10:20 a.m. in the 1000 block of Summit Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins said.
A nearby officer heard gunshots and headed to their source, he said.Witnesses at the scene pointed out a fleeing vehicle, which was later determined to be someone rushing the shooting victim to a hospital.
The victim, a Rialto man in his 30s, suffered wounds to his upper body, Dawkins said. They were not believed to be life-threatening.
No further details, including a suspect description, were available as the investigation remained in its early stages.
Police also responded to reports of gunfire just after 11 p.m. Monday, about half-a-mile away at Claremont Street and Sunset Avenue, Dawkins said. Police found spent bullet casings, but no victims were found.
